Born in February 1941 I was the youngest of 10 children and worked on the
family ranch until i turned 18 in 1959 where the desire to serve and protect
our great nation led me to join the Navy for a four year term. Those first 22 years of my life taught me the
importance of family, the value of hard work and the love of a great country
that goes into every part of my life and music.
I started playing guitar in 1964 and played in many local clubs in San
Francisco where I also drove a streetcar and went to Barber collage which I
completed in 1965.
I love music and from the earliest days in my barber shop I spent my time
between customers teaching myself to play different instruments. Forty five years later I now play twelve
instruments. Some of my favorite
instruments are the piano, Fiddle, Banjo,
Double Bass, and Steel Guitar.
I love writing songs and composing music and recorded my first song in
1970. The technology has changed a great deal since then, but the thrill I get
from it all stays the same. I compose, record and perform my own music, but I
am still inspired by many of my favorite artist from the past such as Johnny
Cash, Marty Robbins, Hank William Sr. and Johnny Horton.
I now live in Cottonwood with my
lovely wife and have begun to write jingles for some of the local
businesses. I hope to be able to use my
jingle writing skills to help other businesses both large and small.
